Saskatchewan, the province which is basically in the heart of Canada, is not only a mouthful (and a nightmare to type), is the sixth biggest province in the country in terms of population, and seventh in terms of size. Much of the province is prairie, with the major of the population concentrated in the southern half of Saskatchewan, with the capital city, Regina, located closer to the border to North America. The province’s biggest city, Saskatoon, is slightly more central, with the areas more to the north being less inhabited due to the overall geography of the region.

Saskatchewan is not one of the popular provinces when it comes to tourism, with many visitors preferring the mountains regions to the west for more spectacular views and also for opportunities to ski at some of the most famous slopes in the world. However, if and when you decide to place a bet at the Dakota Dunes Casino, you will be spoiled for choice. To start with, there is over 550 slot machines, which greet you as you enter the casino, and are then dotted all over the casino floor for you to take your pick from. Bearing that in mind, the casino is flexible enough that they will open a table from 11am if you book in advance and liaise with the Floor Supervisor. There is also a poker room at the Dakota Dunes Casino, which operates from 4pm until close, and currently runs a Super Sunday poker tournament.

Away from the casino, the facilities at the Dakota Dunes Casino, while sparse compared to other casinos in Canada, are still top-notch. The casino can cater for meetings of any scale up to 400 visitors, with six rooms to cater to your needs. And as well as catering to your business needs, the Dakota Dunes Casino also has an on-site restaurant which offers standard restaurant fare at a reasonable price, as well as daily buffets which tend to change every day. Mondays, Thursday and Fridays are currently ‘Entertainment Night’ at the Dakota Dunes Casino, so if you want to listen to some music on your night out, you will not be disappointed.

The fact is, the Dakota Dunes Casino is not attempting to draw in visitors from around the world. It is a more traditional casino, with no bells and whistles, but a spectacular structure. The entire place harks back to a time before big business took over the world of casinos, and it is a nice change from the overbearing glitz and glamor of its contemporaries.
