Microgaming released Dragon’s Myth in April 2015 on behalf of its business partner, the Austrian games developer Rabcat Gambling; Dragon’s Myth is among the six dragons-inspired slot games on Microgaming Quickfire, whereby its listed alongside Dragon Dance (February 2016), House of Dragons (August 2012), Dragon Lady (July 2010), Dragon’s Loot (September 2007), and Golden Dragon (September 1998).
According to Rabcat’s game description of “Dragon’s Myth”, its product is centered on a prophetic dream come true about a very brave young heroine who is now tracking down long-time notorious mythical dragons–they breath fire whose hotness is surprisingly 1000 degrees–that have inconvenienced her village for many centuries. The Dragon’s Myth players have to: get two, three, four, or five matching symbols to win in the main game;and, optionally, gamble on eggs potentially containing newly hatched baby dragons in the side game.
Dragon’s Myth Game Characteristics
Positioning the cursor along the left margin of the 5X3 grid prompts the individual numbers of the fixed twenty yellow-colored pay lines to show up, and hovering the cursor over a specific pay line number displays its outline.
The Dragon’s Myth symbols are: a blue-gray dragon with huge molars and numerous smaller teeth; a yellow dragon with a forked tongue and pointed teeth; a brown dragon with spikes and protruding teeth; a red dragon with four horns; letters A, K, Q, and J, all atop dragons’ skins; yellow and blue dragon’s eggs; and a red-haired teenage dragon hunter.
The Dragon’s Myth game begins with the dragon hunter flying over erupting mountains in an open cockpit glider aircraft, before showing the game’s five major features—the “Wild” dragon hunter, the “dragon bounty” trap symbol, the free spins symbol, the “fixed Wild” symbol, and reels paying from right to left and vice versa.
The “continue” icon leads to the interface, where the Dragon’s Myth players set the stake, using the third “bet” icon from the right. The minimum total bet in Dragon’s Myth is $0.20 ($0.01 X 20 fixed lines), while the maximum total bet in Dragon’s Myth is $40.00 ($2.00 X 20 lines). The nine Dragon’s Myth bet values are 0.01, $0.02, $0.05, $0.10, $0.20, $0.25, $0.50, $1.00 and $2.00 whose other seven total bets are $0.40, $1.00, $2.00, $4.00, $5.00, $10.00, and $20.00.
Accessed via the “info” icon, the Dragon’s Myth dynamic pay table for three, four, or five matching symbols—using the $40.00 total bet as an example—shows: the blue-gray dragon offers $40, $400, and $2000 (the non-progressive jackpot); the yellow dragon pays $30, $200, and $1000; the spiked dragon pays $24, $100, and $400; the red dragon offers $20, $40, and $150; A’s give $12, $30, and $100; K’s give $10, $20, and $50. For two, three, four, and five matching symbols, the Dragon’s Myth game’s Q’s pays $6, $8, $10, and $24 while the J’s give $4, $6, $8, and $20.
The Dragon’s Myth software is good and the dragons’ roars sound effects breath life into the creatures; however, the most attractive thing about it is the teenager’s girlie behavior when the game rounds are won and the artistic impressions of the gigantic dragons that the hunter timely slays just before they trample on her, particularly in the Dragon Bounty part.
