The King Panda

The King Panda, released in July 2017, is an Elvis Presley-inspired Internet casino game from Booming Games. The King Panda is different from Ainsworth’s Panda King, and its rivals include Aristocrat’s Wild Panda, Habanero’s Panda Panda, and NetEnt’s Royal Panda.

The King Panda slot is named after both “the king” (Elvis Presley’s stage name) and the giant panda, a type of bear originating from China. Even the featured panda resembles and is dressed like Elvis Presley, including his signature pilot glasses and hairstyle. The King Panda players aim for three matching symbols, or at least three mismatching BARs.

The King Panda Game Characteristics
The King Panda has a single pay line on its 3X2 grid (three reels and two rows). The King Panda has nine symbols namely: the speckled “The King Panda” brand name, the black-and-white giant panda’s head, a golden compact disc, a glitter ball, a black microphone, a red-and-white “3BAR”, a purple-and-white “2BAR”, and a blue-and-white “1BAR”.

The King Panda’s optional coin values: $0.01, $0.02, $0.03, $0.05, $0.10, $0.20, $0.30, $0.50, $1.00, $2.00, $3.00, $5.00, $10.00, and $20.00. The King Panda’s bet sizes depend with the chosen coins (also called bet levels)—one coin (bet level 1), two coins (bet level 2), or three coins (bet level 3). Players can either click the respective bet level in the options between the “Max” icon and grid, or by tapping the respective choice in the pay table at the top left.

In bet level one, the bet sizes are the aforementioned figures, whereby the minimum total bet is $0.01. In bet level two, the bet sizes are: $0.02, $0.04, $0.06, $0.10, $0.20, $0.40, $0.60, $1.00, $2.00, $4.00, $6.00, $10.00, $20.00, and $40.00. If a player has set bet level three, the bet sizes are: $0.03, $0.06, $0.09, $0.15, $0.30, $0.60, $0.90, $1.50, $3.00, $6.00, $9.00, $15.00, $30.00, and $60.00 (the maximum total bet).

The payouts in bet level one are: “The King Panda” brand name pays $800.00, the panda’s head has $400.00, a compact disc has $200.00, a glitter ball pays $100.00, the microphone offers $80.00, “3BAR” gives $60.00, “2BAR” pays $40.00, “1BAR” pays $20.00, and any three mismatching BARs pay $10.00.

In bet level two: “The King Panda” brand name pays $5000.00, the panda’s head offers $1000.00, compact disks have $500.00, glitter balls pay $200.00, the microphone offers $160.00, “3BAR” gives $120.00, “2BAR” pays $80.00, “1BAR” pays $40.00, and any three mismatching BARs pay $20.00.
In bet level three: “The King Panda” brand name pays $10000.00, the panda’s head has $5000.00, compact disk has $1000.00, a glitter ball pays $300.00, the microphone offers $240.00, “3BAR” gives $180.00, “2BAR” pays $120.00, “1BAR” pays $60.00, and any three matching BARs pay $30.00. There are neither free spins nor scatter not Wild symbols, and the non-progressive jackpot is $10000.00.

The King Panda software is a turnoff because it takes several minutes (sometimes 5+ minutes) to load. Moreover, the interface is jumbled; the total bet, winnings counter, bank roll, paytable, bet level options, automation and start icons, are all competing for a space on the interface. The grid is relegated to a rather small space at the bottom left. The graphics, especially the public address system in the red-draped stage, is colorful, although a little animation would have greatly transformed it. Specifically, the audio clip of Presley chanting “Love me in the style, uh huh huh” after winning, is interesting.

Luck in The King Panda
The return to player rate of The King Panda, a game of chance, is 96.10%, while the house edge is 3.90%.
