In case you forget, I’ve got a $10k Sidebet with my friend “Bookie Bill” over who can get the most EPL tips correct in one season. I take one week of EPL games then Bill takes the next, and the person with the most betting units won over the season wins a cool 10 grand.
After a rotten start, Bookie Bills week 2 went better last week. So far he has had 2 weeks and I have had 1. Here are the records:
Dan: (3-1) +3.74 units
Bookie Bill: (2-6) -2.5 units
Still a long way to go in the season.
My four tips this week are:
Andy Carroll to score 2+ goals @ +600:
I don’t love this bet, but I can’t ignore it either. The public and the sportsbooks alike both expect this to be a high scoring game. Newcastle look like they can score at home, while Blackpool have a leaky defense. It should be an open game with 3-4 goals in it at the very least, and I think Andy Carroll is good value for two of them.
Bet it today:

Wayne Rooney to score anytime @ Evens:
Surely a banker bet this one. With all his troubles, and playing against his old club, this is just the perfect time for him to score and put on a man of the match performance. He’ll be itching to score after breaking his poor streak on the international stage in the weekends.

Spurs to beat Stoke City @ 2.22
Best to bet on this one at Betfair where you get a free bet. Won’t be an easy game for Spurs by any means, however they’re easily making the push to be a top 4 team and I can’t resist odds like this.
West Ham vs Chelsea Over 3.5 @ 2.42
Hey did you know that Chelsea like to score goals? On top of that West Ham have a very leaky defense, currently sit bottom of the EPL and look simply woeful. Expect Chelsea to run up the score here, and bet this bad boy at Superbook.
