About Valhalla
Released on June 30, 2017, Valhalla is a Wazdan-owned html5 video slot adaptation of Asgard. The Norse mythology imagines Valhalla as a residence for fallen heroes that is located in Asgard, which, in turn, is a divine throne wherein war god Odin leads a pantheon of other gods. Also, there are Norse hieroglyphs.
Wazdan has two similar games titled Power of Gods: The Pantheon (October 2019) and Power of Gods: Egypt (August 2020). Valhalla’s rival games include: Champions of Valhalla (July 2019) from Eyecon, Goddess of Valhalla (October 2018) from High 5 Games, and Valhalla (April 2017) from Betdigital.
Nine symbols (god Odin, god Loki, god Thor, goddess Freyja, Viking hero, othala rune, fehu rune, mannaz rune, and perthro rune) require three winning combinations.
Valhalla Game Characteristics
Valhalla is set in the Asgard realm whose silver architecture is shroud in scenic waterfalls. Valhalla’s transparent 4X3 grid has golden partitions and a fancy golden-and-black frame. Each reel is connected to the adjacent reel by two pairs of crisscrossing golden swords, which indicate the game’s 54 fixed paylines that pay from right toward left and vice versa. There are ten symbols, nine total bets, neither a bonus game nor free games, a side game, and regularly pays from $0.20 to $5000.00.
One special symbol: the substitute is an angelic golden-haired “wild” maiden Valkyrie whose arms are crossed and in a golden-and-brown armor.
There are nine ordinary symbols. The one-eyed trickster god Loki: wearing a silver-and-golden horned helmet and a brown drape; holding a brown-and-silver scepter; and crows are perched on his shoulders. The war god Odin: clad in a horned golden helmet and a pelt drape; in golden armor; and holding a silver poleax and a golden blowing horn. The thunder god Thor is wearing a golden-and-silver winged helmet, green drape, and holding a golden hammer.
Other symbols: beautiful red-haired love goddess Freyja; red-haired Viking hero in a red drape; gray othala rune; golden fehu rune; bloody mannaz rune; and golden perthro rune
The Valhalla bet sizes: $0.10 (minimum bet), $0.20, $0.50, $1.00, $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, $50.00, and $100.00 (maximum bet).
Based on the $100.00 bet, the following are the Valhalla payouts for three winning combinations. Trickster god Loki pays $5000.00. War god Odin pays $2000.00. Thunder god Thor pays $1200.00. Love goddess Freyja pays $800.00. Viking hero pays $600.00. Othala rune, or fehu rune pays $400.00. Mannaz rune, or perthro rune pays $200.00.
The door-choosing default side game consists of the Valgrind entrance—the rocky gateway to Valhalla hall—whose two gray holy doors are guarded by war god Odin, holding a horn on his right hand and a poleax on his left hand. When players press the left or right door, a fallen Viking hero shows up at the door; this prompts god Odin to swing his payout-doubling horn that admits the hero into the hall or swing his payout-nullifying poleax that denies the hero entry. Alternatively, there is a suit color-guessing card game, where players click a red-and-golden button or a black-and-golden circle. Valhalla’s non-progressive jackpot is X600, which (600X100) is $60000.00.
The good Valhalla software features: Ultra Lite and High Quality display; full screen and double screen modes; low, standard, and high volatility levels; 22 languages; slow, fast, and ultra-fast gameplay; supports Windows, Android, and iOS operating systems; and 5-1000 autospins, with $0.01-$1000000.00 (desktop version) and $1.00-$1000.00 (desktop version) win and loss limits.
Ambient background: white noise interspersed with clinking. Sound effects: chinking, thunder, war drums, whistling, and death whistle. The animated 3D graphics include: purple lightning bolts, god Odin shaking his implements, glowing, glistening realm, mist dispersion, and rejected fallen heroes falling into the trap door.
